Hop Revolution Vol.2

Post by Stefan Van Eycken, Tokyo

Hop Revolution, the celebration of international craft beer in the heart of Tokyo, is back and how. The inaugural event, held almost exactly one year ago, was such a big success that the organizers had to look for a more spacious venue. They were also keen to make this a total experience so instead of having it in a boring event hall or at a hotel, they looked around for a more appropriate and fun environment. They found a night club near Yurakucho with a capacity of 1,000 and that’s where Hop Revolution Vol.2 will be held: at Club Diana, on Saturday, December 7th from 12:00 to 17:00. DJ Guy Perryman of Inter-FM and a VJ will be on hand to add to the party mood and it promises to be quite the party…
More than two dozen brewers – from all corners of the world, including the home front – will be in attendance. Some breweries’ products will be available in Japan for the first time. A case in point is 8Wired, the New Zealand brewery, whose stock is literally clearing customs at the moment. There will also be 7 seminars with beers exclusively available in the seminar (these can booked on the Malt City site) and much else.

Advance tickets are sold-out but there will be about 400 on-the-day tickets, sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Entrance is 5,500 yen and that includes 8 beer vouchers and a special IPA glass. For more information, check the Hop Revolution site. See you there – that is, if you’re lucky enough to be able to get in!
